A good planning is very needed and important in education institution. Because it can be effect the education progress run well, school will develop it, and the purpose of the education will be achieve.

Beside education basic is neded, in education planning will also strategy to determine to way that will be taken in order to face the problem that faced to achive the purpose that has been planned. Than that education planning should be implementated in education institution (school) as programs.

The purpose oh this research: (1) to know how the basic of education planning in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri Malang 1, (2) to know how the strategy of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri Malang 1, and (3) to know how to implement the education palnning in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri Malang 1.

This research used descriptive qualitative approach that belong to field research, to collect the data in this research to writer use observation, interview, and documentation.

The result of this research showed that the planning of education basic that used as the basic in determining the planning of educational basic in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri Malang 1 consist of; law basic (ideology basic, constitutional basic, and operational basic). The spesific basic such as vision and mission of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri Malang 1, the religion basic dalil Al qur’an that involves the important of education. Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri Malang 1 makes education planning used SWOT analysis, such as strength, weakness, oportunity, and threat. Well, education strategy planning consist of stability strategy, expansion strategy, refrenchment strategy, and combination strategy. The implementation of education planning is done preparation steps, action, monitoring, implementation of the program, and evaluation or assesment after the implementation.
